摘 要:
Physical experiments and numerical simulations have revealed a remarkable stabilizing effect of magnetic fields: they can smooth and stabilize electrically conducting fluids. This phenomenon has motivated extensive research into the underlying mechanisms through the framework of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations. In this talk, I will present recent results on the nonlinear stability and long-time behavior of three-dimensional incompressible MHD systems with anisotropic dissipation. These results offer new insights into how magnetic fields interact with fluid flows to enhance regularity and suppress instabilities. Mathematically, the MHD system describing perturbations around a background magnetic field can be converted into wave-type equations, which highlights the inherent stabilizing effect of the magnetic field.
