报告人简介:

         罗涛，1995年于中国科学院数学研究所获得博士学位，后于美国密歇根大学、乔治城大学历任助理教授、副教授、教授，现为香港城市大学教授。研究方向和学术兴趣包括非线性偏微分方程、流体力学的数学理论、双曲守恒律、变分原理、自由边值问题等，在双曲守恒律、流体力学方程自由边值问题研究等方面做出了一系列影响深远的工作。

摘      要：

        In this talk, I will first review the results on the stability of rotating gaseous tars based on the joint work with Joel Smoller. Then I will discuss the asymptomatic stability of viscous gaseous stars in the framework of vacuum free boundary problem, based on joint work with Zhouping Xin, Huihui Zeng and Yanlin Wang.
